What time is check in and check out?
Check in is any time after 4:00 p.m. EST and check out is by 11:00 a.m. EST. You can check in any time after 4 p.m. We do not allow early check-ins for maintenance and housekeeping reasons.

How can I find the total price of a reservation?
After you have selected your cabin, enter the date you want to check it, the date you want to check out and click the "check availability" button. About half way down the next page, look for the place to enter your Coupon Code. Enter SPECIAL (just as it is written here) and click the Redeem button. The prices will reset to our lowest promotional prices.

Are there any fees to pay?
Other than the cost of the rental, there is a flat rate cleaning fee based on the size of the cabin and 15% occupancy tax (8% local and 7% state).

What credit cards do you accept?
Mastercard, Visa and Discover.

Can I pay by check or money order?
Yes you can, but you still have to make your reservation with a credit card. You can then mail your payment to Cozy Moose Cabins, 245 Palomino Hills Road, Cleveland, GA 30528. We must receive the check one week prior to check in.

How will I get a key to the cabin?
Keys to the cabins are kept in a lockbox on the front porch beside the door. You will receive your lockbox code and directions to the cabin via email prior to your arrival.

When is my payment due?
Reservations made more than 30 days prior to check-in will require a 50% reservation deposit which will be charged to your credit card when the reservation is made. The balance will be charged to the credit card on file approximately 30 days prior to your reservation check-in date unless we receive a check or money order prior to this time.

Reservations made less than 30 days prior to check-in will require full payment charged to your credit card at when the reservation is made.

Can I make a last minute reservation?
Yes! If you make an online reservation on the same day as your check-in day, be sure to call us so we can give you directions and a lock box code.

Are your cabins pet friendly?
Sorry, no pets.

What is the weather like?
If you visit www.weather.com and put in our zip code 30528 for Cleveland or 30571 for Helen you will be able to get the 10 day forecast. Also you can call the local weather phone number for White County which is 706-865-4500 and you will get a recording with the latest forecast. Weather changes rapidly in this area so it is hard to get a really good answer.

Do all of the cabins have internet access?
All of the cabins except Forest Farm Cabin have wireless DSL internet access.

How old do I need to be to rent a cabin?
You must be 21 years old to rent a cabin. All guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult parent or guardian.

Will the hot tub be hot when we check in?
It takes a few hours for the hot tubs to heat up after they are refilled so it might not be hot until several hours after you arrive.

Will my cell phone work at the cabin?
Nextel, Verizon and AT&T / Cingular all seem to work pretty well at the cabins however, we cannot guarantee your phone will work at all of the cabins. All of our cabins except Forest Farm Cabin have phones with local service only.

Do you allow smoking?
We do not allow smoking inside the cabin. You may smoke outside but please stay far away from any open doors or window so the smoke doesn't come back into the cabin. Also, please use ashtrays if you smoke outside.

How far are your cabins from Helen, Cleveland and Dahlonega?
The Cozy Moose, Camp Pine Knot and Camp Seven Pines are about 10 minutes from Cleveland, 30 minutes from Dahlonega and 20 minutes from Helen , Clarkesville and Cornelia.

My check-in date is only a few days away and I have not received directions or a lockbox code. Why?
Our email might have gotten caught in your spam filter. Otherwise please email or call us and we will send it to you!

What items are provided at the cabin? What do I need to bring?
Cozy Moose Cabins does not provide daily maid service but we do supply a starter set of linens, paper towels, soap, dish detergent, toilet tissue, and a liner for each trash can.

You may want to bring soap and shampoo, extra toilet tissue and paper towels, charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill and matches for fireplace, fire pit or grill. If you intend to use the hot tub you might want to bring some large towels.

Also, if you need any specialty cookware you might want to bring it. We provide a basic set of pots and pans.

Is there any firewood at the cabin?
Firewood is available at the cabins with wood burning fireplaces during cold months for $4 per bundle. We try to always keep it stocked but sometimes it runs out and, if it does our vendor does not come out and re-stock it immediately but it is available at most of the local grocery stores and convenience stores.

What is there to do in the area?
Check out our Local Information page for links to various activities in the area. The best place to get local activity info. for Helen is from the Helen Welcome Center. The best place to get information on activities in and around Cleveland is the White County Chamber of Commerce on North Main St. in Cleveland. Their number is 706-865-5356.
